Most Scifi fans I have ran into can pretty quickly rank the four stars –BattleSTAR Galactica, STAR Trek, STARgate, and STAR wars, but what lesser-known or less-prestigious shows hold a special place in your heart?...
Also, if you haven't checked into it yet, The Expanse video game from Telltale is a prequel with Cara Gee returning to once again be the voice of Camina Drummer!
Hey everyone! Despite my efforts, my fiancé really doesn’t get into video games much. Mechanical skill limitations frustrate her, and sometimes her attention span for games isn’t high when she could read a book or watch a show, I want to try a new tactic to see if it works: games where she can be a “backseat driver.”...
Oxenfree - Fantastic voice acting, good mystery elements and a compellingly creepy story that makes it fun to experience with others. Not a ton of traditional puzzles to solve but plenty of choices to make that determine how certain things play out. However, the dialogue choices can go by pretty quickly so if you two like to debate and take your time choosing how to respond you'd have to be willing to just choose what feels right without dwelling.
Tacoma - Figure out what went wrong on a space station.
Disco Elysium - This would be a fantastic one to play together. It's all choice based and sometimes failing is better than succeeding, giving you multiple ways to accomplish what you need to do in drastically different ways. There's no real rush to anything so you can take your time making decisions and wander around a ton. That said, it is very elaborately written with lots of narration and voice acting, perfect if you like stylized writing and dialogue, not the best choice if you prefer flashy cut scenes and heavy action sequences with your story.

I admittedly have not read a lot of Asimov but The Last Question is one of the few stories I've read in full (it helps that it's a short story) and I absolutely loved it!
Wow I just so happened to jump back on here and check out the Timelapse video right as my THC tablet kicked in. 10/10 highly recommend the experience, no pun intended.

Yeah I totally get that. I'm sure there is also a small percentage of people that see the name and check out the community looking for aliens with three boobs or three dicks or dudes getting it on with living planets and find something very different.
I once accidentally thought a girl in my class put her hand up for a high-five but was very confused when I put my hand up to give her one. I died on the inside. It was death by cringe I tell you.
Holy freakin moley that sounds exhausting. Is there a word for slander when it actually works to convince people of untrue things about you? Almost like gaslighting but for everyone else instead of yourself.
I can't even imagine the absurdity of being caught in a one-sided arch nemesis situation where someone has dedicated their life to destroying mine with zero interest from me except for watching The Monarch and Dr. Venture on The Venture Bros.
I'm glad you're free from such insanity and I really hope the damage he caused isn't enough to stop you from having an enjoyable life.
Last time was way more detailed. It was sprawling with mass participation from so many communities that the more you zoomed in and looked, the more cool, creative and diverse stuff you'd find.
This time looks like a completely bare bones shell of the handful of communities that even thought it was worth spending time on. It's not even close to the same glorious effort that it was before.
In my opinion, Abby from TLOU 2. During the first part of the game, she is portrayed as the bad girl, but when she become the playable character, you understand that she isn't:...
He decided to give that person a horse with a loan
I know it's a typo but that sounds like an awesome start to a western video game, regardless of how it's interpreted -- either getting a horse and a loan for supplies, a horse that needs to be paid for later, or a horse that took out a loan by some kind of paperwork error and now has more money than you. I'd play any of those.
And also I'm with you, I think the funny jokes about Tom Nook took off into a smear campaign. Having no time limit, interest free, and also being in a world where money is everywhere and literally grows on trees makes it an amazing deal.
There was a remix of Gato's Song from Chrono Trigger where they performed it in several different styles and added in a crowd booing after every performance that strangely stuck with me after all these years.
It is the first game developed internally by Annapurna Interactive, although little else is known except that Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth takes place betw...
This may be their first internal development but they are a fantastic game publisher already! They take a lot of chances publishing weirder stuff and it pays off a lot of the time. My favorites are:
Outer Wilds
Journey
Stray
What Remains of Edith Finch
Donut County
Gone Home
Kentucky Route Zero
I kind of look at them as the A24 of games (nevermind that Annapurna Pictures is a thing) where they have excellent taste in choosing what odd features to publish and give a chance despite not creating them themselves. It at least suggests they care about the artistry of the product to a point where I'm expecting that same standard in their first hands-on development.
You might as well jump in! It's free, saves transfer from chapter to chapter, and it gives you plenty of time to figure out if you're happy with the route you're playing or if you want to turn up the good or evil for a different end game.
Fair enough, I totally get that! I'm just on the other end of things -- I feel like Toby Fox is saying that you can always choose to be better or you can ultimately make a turn for the worst, sometimes you change in time for it to make a difference and sometimes you don't. Since Deltarune actually has multiple save slots I've found it easier to do a Sliding Doors kind of What If...? scenario where I can see how things are different depending on what choices I make.
I confess I can't go truly evil without feeling awful but I am curious about certain things like how I decide to help a certain character, who I encourage, if I want the main character to be an independent single type that cherishes their friendships or what if I choose to give one of those love interests a chance. I could only do the two intended playthroughs of Undertale with the single save system and how long it was to go through the entire game twice. With the multiple save slots in Deltarune and the fact that I have plenty of time in between chapters to play through each one through two alternate saved paths is what actually makes it possible for me to see what could have been if I'd chosen differently the first time instead of having to look it up later. The chapters are actually pretty long so it's hard for me to imagine playing through the entire game multiple times without these long breaks in between.
