I totally agree with him. This will bring more people to the fediverse once they realize they can interact with their friends on Threads

I had been spending quite some time on mastodon, but lately realized that it just isn’t for me....

I created an account on mastodon.social a few days ago. A day after creation, my account was suspended. My appeal was denied and no reason was given. So I assumed mastodon.social was not accepting new accounts, so I moved over to mastodon.online and created an account there. Today that account was suspended as well, again...

I don’t think this post is anti semitic or promoting a hateful ideology, it is me expressing a known fact that Israel and its lobby groups heavily lobbying the US. Simple as that....

Elon Musk has said and done a lot of weird and outrageous things during his tenure as the owner of Twitter (now X), but we may have just seen the weirdest and most outrageous.

I just downloaded the app to see what’s all the hype about, and once again, I’m asked to pick a group, in this case, a server....

When I look at Mastodon posts, I see a decent amount of replies and boosts for popular posts, but not very many stars (see example image). I assumed a star is the same as a like, but I feel not a lot of people star a post, whereas I did see a lot of hearts/likes on Twitter posts. Are they not equivalent?

Why is there #Mastodon and #Pixelfed?...

As far as I know, one of the headline features of microblogging networks is searching and following hashtags. On top of that, Mastodon (like Lemmy) tells users that it’s not important what server/instance you join, because of federation....

I know it’s possible to subscribe to a Mastodon user on a Lemmy instance, but it seems to me like this is of limited utility since the more standard use case on Mastodon is following tags rather than users. So, is it possible to somehow follow a Mastodon tag using Lemmy and get posts with that tag integrated into your Lemmy...
