Yet another petition against Twitter’s name change, but it’s poorly written with bad English.
It used to be a great place. You knew that companies and news corps were verified properly and not just paying for attention - so you could reasonably trust news on there, or that if you had a problem with a order the people responding were who they said they were....
Haven’t used Twitter in years, fully deleted my account when Musk took over. Unfortunately I need to see a user profile now. I just wanted to see one old page, but apparently I can no longer do that without logging in....
I’m cross posting this in the hope that I can get my Lemmy and Mastodon instances to talk to eachother....

I know it’s possible to subscribe to a Mastodon user on a Lemmy instance, but it seems to me like this is of limited utility since the more standard use case on Mastodon is following tags rather than users. So, is it possible to somehow follow a Mastodon tag using Lemmy and get posts with that tag integrated into your Lemmy...
Encountering one of these embedded tweets in a blog post, my hand instinctively moved to click the X and close it. That took me to the website....
I kept the account because there are still a couple of people I stay in touch with. But this week I noticed I dropped from about 450 followers to 110. I searched the accounts and those people’s accounts are still there. They just dont follow me any more. I gently asked a couple of them if I’d done/said something to upset...
