Right now the user count Lemmys is comparatively tiny when held up against reddit - but the user count isn't the thing that makes a social media site, it's the engagement...
edited the heading of the question. I think most of us here are reasoning why more people are not using firefox (because it was the initial question), but none of that explains why it’s actively losing marketshare....
I suppose I never considered switching off of Chrome because I didn’t need my browser to do anything better for me. I’ve always been fine with Chrome’s speed, the UI is nice, and in general I don’t experience any issues with it.
Colts running back Jonathan Taylor formally requested a trade following a meeting with owner Jim Irsay on the team bus, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Saturday.
It’s definitely going to be hard to get NFL content to shift over here. r/NFL really was frustrated about the blackouts over third-party apps getting shut down.
Are you able to just kind of socialize and get involved in stuff without as many second thoughts? Or make and share stuff with less of an imposter syndrome or whatever you might call it when you’re uncomfortable being associated with your work?...
I have a positive self-image but I’d never join an extracurricular club alone for example. Socialization with strangers requires a whole lot of guts and some sort of plan in my opinion.
The positive self-image mostly helps in that it allows me to have confidence in the things I really should have confidence in. (Ex: making a genuine mistake is okay, having an embarrassing moment is okay, getting rejected for something is okay). At its core, it’s recognizing that you deserve to be loved by yourself.
I’d say there is no good reason for it not to be legal, even if it’s disgusting. Someone who waits that long shouldn’t expect there to necessarily be a doctor willing to perform the procedure for them though.
2023 has been pretty bad for me injury wise. Between several niggling ankle and knee injuries, I was really starting to feel like I was missing out....
Hopefully that injury bug stays away! I tried to get into running but kept getting set back by shin splints. So incredibly frustrating when I was otherwise thoroughly enjoying running.
I like fitbit but that’s because I basically strictly use it for calorie counting. The battery life is good enough that I just charge it when I’m in the shower and it’ll never die on me.
I think if I hadn’t read the Hobbit and the LOTR trilogy previously in high school, I wouldn’t have enjoyed the movies. Seeing the characters in the flesh forming the fellowship was one of the most epic movie moments ever for me.
Do your part, try not to lurk!

This house I found in kawasaki (lemmy.world)
For some reason it gives me massive Kong studios vibes. I really love the extensive use of plants.
Why is firefox losing market share? Why don't more people use Firefox?

How common is it for atheists to be against homosexuality/abortion?
I posted this question on Reddit a while ago and it was an interesting discussion so I wanted to hear what Lemmings think....
