Praise Gork someone made this already! I was worried it would take some time before I saw any 40k content. I'm inspired to paint some minis! I do have one mildly important, yet fairly urgent question for the community first:

Where we sending the memes?

A portion landed on the cardboard bottom, so I did get to eat that. Lol it kinda helped making it only mildly infuriating cause I didn't really need to eat all of that myself!

What if they're doing this, letting us all get riled up, and then after the black out they go "ok ok, we get it. We'll reduce the cost down to insert still high but irritatingly doable number" and that was the plan all along. That they started outrageously high so they can land where they actually expected to be. A bunch of users go back grumbling but feeling like they still won, yet we got 4d cheesed.

Or I'm just high.

It is bitter sweet, but I am excited to a new start in a much smaller (dare I say tighter?) community.

The short time I've spent here so far has been relaxing in a way. I don't feel rushed to get to the next post. The clunkiness on mobile reminds me of forums back in the early 2000s. I'm sure the nostalgia will wear off, but at this very hectic point in my life, it's nice to slow down for a change.

Yes!! I've contributed more here in three days than I had in 11 years on Reddit!

EDIT: Feels good my dude

Definitely slow, but I kinda like it (for now). I feel like I'm paying attention to what I'm doing here instead of just doom scrolling and time sinking.

I don't want to get my hopes too high but:

OC I'm making a Tower Defense/RTS combo game inspired by my childhood. I have a playtest out now! (www.youtube.com)

Hi, I’m Terry, I’ve been working on Terrytorial Disputes for over a year and a half. I’m really proud of how far I’ve gotten with this project so far, I’d love to get it in front of more people for feedback so I can keep improving it even more....

I'm definitely going to try this out in the next couple days! Thank you!

EDIT
Just tried it and had fun! I sent you a wall of text in the comment part of the survey, but I forgot to say that I did wishlist it!

Hello! I too was a lurker. I'm kind of excited to practice being less of one here... What board games have you been playing lately? I've been really enjoying a game called Decorum.

Hi all, I'm Rexxiter and looking for a new internet home!

With some bad ADHD, my hyper fixations take me all over the place. Seriously, my house is filled with unfinished projects and hobbies. Consistently though, I love dank memes, video games, MTG, 40k, cheesecake, music (rock, techno, metal), and having plans cancelled.

Hello, Gaz! I'm forcing myself to be less of a lurker too. I've used Reddit for over a decade, and it's truly been the most consistent form of comfort to me. I'm scared and angry, but also excited to see where this goes!

I hear ya there, I get to play maybe once a month.

The game is a co-op puzzle game, where you need to decorate four rooms of a house correctly but you don't know each other's objectives. The hilarity comes from how you acknowledge the other player's turns. You cannot say what your objectives are, and after each player's turn you can only say whether you love it, you hate it, or you're fine with it. You put a red lamp in the bathroom and my objective is something red has to be in there? I love it! Another player's objective says there cannot be a lamp in the bathroom, they hate it. As the turns go on, the passive aggressiveness is incredible.

It's definitely a game you need a close group of friends that understand that it is just a game and can't be taken too seriously. The fun comes from compromising, and being ok with (jokingly) ticking someone off. Sometimes the passive aggressiveness just turns into "now why the hell would you do that?" "Oh, you think that was a good move?!" But it's always coupled with laughing and cheering and a good time.
