Yes there are two in the works specifically for Kbin. One is called Artemis. It's still in private testing right now. The other is not named yet and in very early stages. It's being developed by the same person, Dan Supernault, who created Pixelfed.
Here's a link to an article that may be helpful to you. It covers an intro to federated spaces and towards the bottom lists some mobile apps for the platforms.
As it stands now the upvote works as a favorite or like, downvote lowers reputation, boost raises reputation. It's a bit confusing and there's an open ticket on this. I'm not sure if all old actions will carry over or when the operations change it'll get reset.
If you look to the hamburger icon in the top right of the screen next to your username that's the channel selector. Favorites is the third one down in the list.
I really loved @FixedFun 's idea for the kbin mascot, so I decided to refine it a bit and make some color alternatives. All credit to them for this wonderful idea! I merely refined it. Note, the circles beside the logo are just a color pallete swatch, not actually meant to be apart of the logo....
Industrially processed pizzas, cereals, and convenience foods are responsible for a host of diseases. Policymakers and doctors need to lead the food fight.
Sometimes the best first step is making a healthier alternative at home. Few food items that are low cost, pre-packaged, ready to eat, will be healthy.
You could skip the frozen or restaurant pizza and make your own with low sodium sauce, use cheese lightly, add healthy toppings.
For cereal instead of the typical sugary stuff opt for oatmeal with whole fruit or nuts. Even Cream of Wheat is better than sugar flake cereals.
It's not that you have to get rid of all that you like but the goal is to find alternatives with healthier ingredients.
It will take effort on an individuals part to eat more healthy but it doesn't have to be more expensive. I like to make dinners that last a few days. I make a quinoa and bean chili that I really enjoy. It takes me about an hour an lasts for three days. It has quinoa, kidney beans, diced or crushed tomatoes (low sodium), onion, vegetable or chicken broth (low or no sodium), corn and a few spices.
The drive to do this has to be there. Healthy eating takes some time and effort but, at least from my experiences, it's worth trying. Once you know dishes you like and how to make them the easier it all gets.
Not sure how I feel about this tbh, fair play if that’s what he wants to do. I don’t think it will make me stay with reddit. The community feel of lemmy and kbin is making me finally enjoy contributing again. Towards the end with reddit it felt so… Pointless.
This is what I'm thinking too. Narwhal is sticking around but once Narwhal 2 comes out it'll be $5-7 per month and more for a user who makes a lot of API calls. If I'm remembering correctly Christian figured it would be close to $10 per month to support Apollo's heavy users without going in the red. That's crazy money to pay for access to Reddit.
I made a post around a week ago that really took off, and figured we are probably going to see a small spike in activity due to the reddit migration, so I thought we could give it another go!...
My current go-to is a Hario Switch using the immersion method. For the longest time I brewed in a French press, then I tried an Aeropress, now I'm onto the Switch and it's like the best of both previous devices for me.

I can picture it now…Two spineless egomaniacs tossing bundles of $100’s at each other.
Now if they include a third party (we know neither likes those) it could get interesting. Maybe a prisoner (non-violent offense) who would get a greatly reduced sentence if Elon and Zuck lose.
That would be more Colosseum style than any UFC match.
I made a quick edit to my post, saved and it double posted with two different versions. The original got deleted. Sorry to leave your comment hanging like that. I didn't mean to fellow trekkie! :)

Same here. The first link works for me if I open in a new tab. When I click the link directly it gives a 404 error. The second link gives 404 error either way.
Hey Kbin-folk, I’ve recently published my take on the “threadiverse” in the form of a quasi-guide but with some other commentary. Appreciate any feedback, good or bad!
Good explanations in your article! In case you may not already know there's a kbin app (later to work with lemmy as well) called Artemis in the works as well.
"I just released a really important Apollo update that adds the ability for users with remaining subscription time left to decline an automatic refund. You’re all good! I’m also an Ultra + Pro user and there’s no refund needed. Apple treats that kind of transaction as a one time payment. It’s only those who subscribe for a set amount of time (month or year) that are offered refunds.

It’s great that they’re going to continue but too bad it didn’t happen fast enough to keep Chris and Jordan. Although they seem happy with PetaPixel so that’s good for them.
I’ve know of Gear Patrol for around 15 years or so. They make articles and rate all kinds of products from outdoor equipment, tech products, clothing, etc. It’s a solid company with a good track record from what I know.
While I don't know much about Gear Patrol's business side, you're correct, they are doing something right to be able to buy DPReview. I've heard they have similar web traffic compared to PetaPixel (this info is from a recent PetaPixel podcast) and that the owner of Gear Patrol is a fan of DPReview. I hope their words hold true, existing staff remains and the site continues as usual.
I agree with you about the written articles vs video reviews in general.
Sorry searched around and couldn't find info. Any word on a kbin app?
Let me know if it's already been answered and I can delete this post.
PSA: while upvoting exists, to get the "move closer to the top" effect that reddit's upvote had, you need to click boost
a small difference, but important to how people use the site
