Cutting banks out of equation would be nice, but I don’t think they will ever let it happen, they will always lobby for their interests and will find ways to monetize us.
Actually quite good. I found a non toxic way of interacting with social media which also doesn’t take much of my time, and I feel more courageous to like, boost and comment, not just be a lurker as on other platforms (especially Reddit).
The whole point of r/Place was to happen only so occasionally. I really got hyped for the second one, because I was too late for the first one. It happening every year would kill the hype for me. So thanks, I’ll pass and stay logged out.
Reddit seems to be fully aware what users are likely to do in the current climate. Do they think people who aren’t angry will be louder than everyone else, do they have a plan for protests, or are they just letting the chips fall?
