I could use some advice on RSS feed syncing options. Usually I would just use Feeder on my phone to grab my RSS feeds, then if I’m consuming content another device I would just check it on my phone and then open the content on anther device. Cross device sync would have been nice, but I got along fine without it. Recently...
According to the Wall Street Journal, iPhone users are increasingly finding reasons to choose Apple Maps over Google Maps, with some customers commending its clear public transport directions and visually appealing design.
I prefer it in most cases. I still will spot check it against Google for POI data, but I find the map easier to use, the transmit more accurate, and the integration with the phone better.
I used to check the front page at least once every day, and occassionally check specific subreddits. Now I don’t look at reddit unless theres some drama, like mods getting purged, then I’d go there and enjoy the drama. Occasionally there will be questions that only reddit has the answer to so I have to reluctantly use it. I...
Our main family car is eleven years old so lacks CarPlay and Bluetooth media playback. I l get around this through Alexa Auto into the car stereo via aux.
I’ve been looking at these CarPlay / Android Auto standalone units that I could dash mount in front of my BMW’s iDrive display. (There’s no where else to really place it).
I don’t want to invest thousands in a new integrated system. Have you, or someone you know gone this halfway house instead and how did you find it?
@rob Why not buy a new head unit from Sony or Kenwood with CarPlay built in? I've done this for under $300 for two cars and it's super easy and improves the quality of the drive immensely. Crutchfield.com is your friend here.
This is an extremely disappointing change. I use T-Mobile but have opted for financing unlocked phones since the option became available. This kills the single biggest benefit of the card for me
During my entire life (32 years) I used windows and linux machines. Now I bought my first mac book and I would like to know what tools is nice to have to make my work easy....
Just a quick and dirty userscript to add some features I feel are super important. I'll probably look into creating some real PRs, but I figure the devs are probably in "put out fires" mode right now....
I do a lot of audio/video installations. I'd love to be able to get real-time measurements of spaces I'm working in, and then use an app to "draw" a plan of what needs to go where, etc, that I could export and share with a customer Throw in a visualizer for spatially testing the audio acoustics of the space and I'd sell my soul.

Be honest, do you still use reddit?
