calmblue75,

A pair of wooden knitting needles. I actually have some plastic ones, but I want to try out the wooden ones.

Now that some time has passed, what do you like and dislike about kbin?

I like that kbin is smaller compared to some lemmy instances. I also prefer the UI. Bigger communities tend to feel a bit overwhelming for me. I also appreciate how transparent Ernest has been regarding kbin's development. That said, it's been a bit challenging to figure out how to utilize some of the federation features that...

calmblue75,

Reddit refugee here. Joined Kbin during the subreddit protest. Still finding my way through here...
Like: People seem to be more decent here, less trolls.
Dislike: No infinite scrolling.

calmblue75,

If you're here, you probably did a bad job with Earth. Level failed! (Ambient Level failed music)

People with bad sense of direction, can you enjoy open world games?

I have always liked open world games as a concept, but I have a very bad sense of direction. So whenever I play open world games I keep getting lost and frustrated. Eventually getting bored and dropping the game. I am curious how other people with bad sense of direction cope with this problem.

calmblue75,

There is a game called minetest, similar to minecraft. You can view coordinates and the direction you are facing. There is also a mod called tpad (teleporter pad) that can take you to places without walking. You can try it out.

calmblue75,

there is an m/india too, which has about 51 threads, mostly without comments. A lot of the threads are by 1 user.

calmblue75,

The worst thing is they think that they can speak in wrong grammar if they are not around an English teacher/professor.

calmblue75,

I don't think I will go back. I've moved on from reddit for good. Even if they take back the API change, they are still a corporate company and will still try to make money off us.

calmblue75,

Oh no... should we go back and pick up tense?

calmblue75,

Hi everyone! I am a reddit refugee too, supporting the API change protest with all my heart. It's nice to see a new platform developing!
