As a reddit migrator myself, I ended up here because it seems like the best open source version of reddit. But I have a few bugs and problems that I can't find a solution:...
There's also a setting under Settings > General > Appearance called "Homepage" that you can set to "Subscriptions" and it will make your default homepage your subs. The advantage here is when you click on the server name on the top bar, it will take you back to your subs instead of to All, like it would if you just bookmark the subs link.

I can totally see that for myself. I have over 4000 hours in Elite Dangerous, I really couldn't tell you how many in Skyrim, but combining them both is going to eat up a lot of my free time, for sure.
I can't find it anymore, so feel free to take what I say with a grain of salt, but last week they had a post explaining that they considered criticism of the Chinese government racism and a bannable offense.
It's a little more than just not banning people who like Stalin.
Lemmy as a software may be fine, if forked and maintained by someone else, but for now I think it's best to avoid the software in general, or barring that, at least the lemmy.ml (et al) instance.
I have noticed here on kbin.social that if I navigate to the microblog tag, find a comment with a hashtag, and click that hashtag, I get a nice little feed for any microblog posts containing that hashtag....
I don't have an Android tablet, but there is probably an option in the main drop-down (3-dot) menu called "Add to Home Screen" that should do the same thing.
Does anyone know if there is a mobile app in the works? So far I’m liking the kbin experience. I just hope a mobile app comes in to make things a little smoother.
How do Kbin and Lemmy work? Since they’re on fediverse, can I follow their “subreddits” from this account? Or do I need an account on a Kbin/Lemmy instance for that?
Can I follow Lemmy ‘subreddits’ from a Kbin account?
@luana Yes, you should be able to access Lemmy's "Communities" using Kbin, where they will behave exactly like Kbin's "Magazines". (both are equivalent to reddit's "subreddits") You should even be able to access the stuff people post via Mastodon, which will (as far as I can tell) show up in Kbin's "Random" magazine. I am posting from kbin right now, from its "Microblog" tab.
If I registered at lemmy.world, is it possible to still comment on a thread at say lemmy.ml? I get the expected "You are not logged in" and while subscribing is easy enough, I'm not able to comment or interact with other instances. This seems normal as users are unique per instance, I just want to make sure I'm not missing a key...
It might help wrap your mind around this federation stuff by thinking about email. You don't need to concern yourself with whether you and someone you want to send an email to are on the same email domain, say between Outlook and Gmail, you just send an email and because everyone is using the same protocol, the email can get to anyone with an email address.
Please, I need help to understand the interface of kbin
