On a personal level, I am done with Reddit. I am on kbin for general news and sports and stuff and my Science-Fiction/Fantasy community is creating a lemmy instance for us to cater to that niche of people, so between that I will be set.
But I am a mod on some very special fan sites on Reddit and I gave my word to the communities there to be there for them and I won't abandon my mod duties, so my only reddit activity will be mod actions and modmail responding. Some of our members are migrating and some are staying but it's a tight-knit fandom and I'm not going to abandon those that stay.
I don't have a screen protector on my phone, and I wasn't going to get a case but had to because the camera on the back of it sticks out and my phone wouldn't lay flat and it just wanted to scratch the camera lens. The case makes it so my phone can lay flat, and I have better grip I guess. It's just a slim case, nothing bulky.

@thedoctor Not on fediverse migration no, but he did respond to one of my comments on Reddit saying that if the community moved to another platform he would follow. I'm a mod over on Reddit and we have been researching alternatives for the part of the community that is done with Reddit completely. He did openly support the protest and even closed his own sub r/Sanderson as well.

I'm split between 2 fandoms (that's a story lol) and on reddit only lurked and I would like a friendly accepting place where it's ok I've only been watching hockey a few years, root for 2 teams in the same damn division and don't know shit about hockey but I can be active in anyway.

Basically, a few years back I decided I wanted to start watching hockey as a second sport. The place I lovedbest when I lived there was Colorado so I decided to be an Avs fan. The playoffs started... I was rooting for the Avs. Which meant I ha to root against the Sharks. Then the Sharks won, so I had to root against the Sharks even harder and they played the Blues next. Then I rooted for the Blues and they kept just winning and by the time they won the cup I was hooked LOL
Kadri left to go play for Calgary last year, so now we just have Kroekne to feel shitty about. But yeah MacKinnon is fantastic to watch. I just wish we weren't going anther full season without Landeskog.
It's not sanctimonious. We care what our members think and feel. We have the open support of the author we're the fandom for, even saying he'd follow us to a new platform if the community decided to go to one. There's nothing sanctimonious about caring about a community and letting the collective decide what to do. We don't "own" the community, we caretake it. We don't exercise power without the fans being behind it.

I don't have it, but if they ever added a way to play the older Pokemon games my husband would want to get it because he has no other way to play them (and doesn't like emulating). I just hope they don't skyrocket the cost if they do add Pokemon.
@Firefirefly I buy my Stormlight all in hardcover, and so I read them like that the first time through. For re-reads I use ebook cause it's just so much easier to carry around lol
