Roguelike Chess; not a thing I expected to see:

A lot of the graphics feel sort of cheap tbh, but then it’s a chess game. The important bit is the gameplay is quite solid.

They aren’t full chess matches: it feels like speed running the midgame with really weird chess pieces.

Thibault, the creator the lichess #chess web site, has in his github bio (https://github.com/ornicar): "Maker of lichess.org, a hippie communist chess server for drug fueled atheists."

I find that grossly offensive and disrespectful to the chess community. "Drug-fueled" is a compound adjective and, as such, should be hyphenated.

OMG, what a game! Game 7 of the Women's World Chess Championship was an amazing fight.

Champion Wenjun Ju built up a technically winning position, but stubborn defence by the challenger Tingjie Lei frustrated the Champion who just couldn't finish things off, and the game ended in a draw.

This is an analysis I did some time ago comparing FIDE ratings to lichess ratings. The biggest part of the work was finding a reliable way to get both ratings for the same set of players. A lot of players on lichess post their FIDE ratings, but unfortunately, some players will post joke ratings, or just outright lie....
