Reddit users are reporting Christian websites for violating Virginia's new porn identification law, citing vulgar passages in the Bible (www.insider.com)

As more and more states pass laws targeting "pornographic material" in books and online, they are repeatedly running up against a problem: The Bible has not just a few passages that could be considered indecent

Damn, how about letting them cool down before putting them on wooden shelves.

Good thing that the blackout is nothing to worry about, lol.

it's... interlocked safety, shut up.

Reddit activated a word filter that whenever you say "fuck spez", your comment won't show up for anyone else. I just tested it on ModCoord. they're also deleting spez memes from the subs they nuked lol

r/ModCoord: The admins in charge of demodded subreddits are mass-removing images of Huffman previously shared on them...

Sounds like some condiment for the spaghetti.

They are more of a concept coming from mastdodon type of posts.
But currently there are no lists or possibilities to subscribe to them here.
So you/we can use them and navigate but with certain limitations.

For my liking kbin is lacking lists so that not all follows have to be seen mixed in a single place.
In such lists if they existed it would be awesome that there could be subscriptions to both communities and tags.

Is there a better way to hide NSFW content on all/active than checking the "hide adult content" box?

I've checked the box but now that it's blocking properly marked porn, my /active feed is being inundated with what feels like a hundred different "furry" communities and magazines. I'm blocking them as they come up because I'm not into that shit at all but is there an additional filter I can add or is that maybe something that...

Oh that kind of sub, I was trying to figure out what the mods were doing at reddit now.

Anyone else enjoying the Internet better, now that they’re off Reddit?

Hadn’t realized how reliant upon Reddit I’d become for news and interesting things until after it turned to shit and I quit it. I’ve rediscovered RSS for ex., using reader apps to scan sources directly and read without all the noise—that actually came from someone’s recommendation here in the comments. I’ve found...

It's not about the apps, it's about the abuse on the community that has helped them. Anyway it doesn't seem like anything is going to change your mind so...

Patience you must have my young padawan.

I'd probably hate him if he was real, but yes.

I can't form an opinion right now.
If all similar communities appeared combined into a single community I'd still be likely to want to still filter out sources.
But at the same time sometimes a place to see them all together sounds appealing.
It seems that I want both, but probably what we have now is the most flexible, forcing less limitations.

My opinion is that they wanted an excuse to drop certain cpu supports because past vulnerabilities.

I used to ask things on the chat. But now when I think on trying I end up thinking on how I'm going to have to deal with trying to avoid it making things up and it puts me off.

I guess the message is clear, no more pizza.

I don't even feel affected by the app changes. But I'm not comfortable in general staying there, seeing what they are doing and will keep doing to their people.

/kbin quick update

As you noticed, I had to temporarily enable DDoS protection. Someone is trying quite effectively to distract me from my activities ;p Unfortunately, this may cause some issues with the federation. I will try to cut off the traffic as soon as possible and return to normal operation. Thank you for all your support and patience! :)

Some initial impressions and enhancement ideas

I want to start by saying that I really like kbin so far. The process of searching for new communities to follow feels way better then reddit. The barrier of entry compared to other federated sites was much easier to overcome, which is the main thing I think is holding the Fediverse back from mainstream adoption. The fact...

About the same. And I'm also trying to subscribe to tags but I couldn't see a way.
