That's how the signed letter ends. It makes total sense to me.

We know there is no military solution to this crisis. We know that Israelis and Palestinians are here to stay — neither Jewish safety nor Palestinian liberation can be achieved if they are pitted against one another. We know that freedom for one people cannot be reached through the oppression and killing of another. We know that Israeli and Palestinian safety is deeply intertwined and that no one wins a forever war. The only way to lasting peace and security is through diplomatic means that move us towards an equal and just future for all.

We urge President Biden and Congress to work for a ceasefire, the release of the hostages, and a diplomatic solution that guarantees equality, justice, and a thriving future for all.

This article reports testimonies of people and provides the relevant links. It is not an opinion piece or an analysis to be influenced by bias.

Here are some examples taken from the article that illustrate what I mean:

“We know for sure that three people were killed by our fire, three hostages,” she
declared, while demanding to be informed of whether the families of captives “were given up on” by the Netanyahu administration.

Freed Israeli captives have also delivered harrowing accounts of the massive Israeli bombings they endured. According to a Facebook post by Israeli television producer Hagai Levi, “From the reports of the returning abductees, it is repeated that the most horrifying captivity trauma they experienced was probably the IDF bombings.

In a previous appearance on Israel’s Channel 13, Dan told her interviewer that “we know for sure that not only did [Israeli civilians] hear bombings, but buildings collapsed on top of their inhabitants,” and that “hostages were injured” in the attacks.

Not too sure about what sort of confirmation you are looking for.

The following come from the article:

“We know for sure that three people were killed by our fire, three hostages,” she declared, while demanding to be informed of whether the families of captives “were given up on” by the Netanyahu administration.

Freed Israeli captives have also delivered harrowing accounts of the massive Israeli bombings they endured. In a previous appearance on Israel’s Channel 13, Dan told her interviewer that “we know for sure that not only did [Israeli civilians] hear bombings, but buildings collapsed on top of their inhabitants,” and that “hostages were injured” in the attacks.

Meanwhile, back in Jerusalem, Israeli soldiers executed a Jewish Israeli man on camera who had attempted to fight off Palestinian militants that opened fire at a Jerusalem bus stop – shooting him dead even after he threw away his gun and pleaded for his life.

Confirmation being another credible source reporting on this story.

This story reports people's experiences and has the relevant links. The source in our case is the people. It's not an opinion article.

It also quotes random sources like an Israeli tv producer?

Random? Not at all.

Worms are fine. Rape is terrible at any age.

I still have trouble conceptualizing how they can do that to someone so helpless

The way I see thing, this is a very dangerous way of approaching the matter.
Imagine how a young adult that is a bodybuilder/athlete/etc that has been raped, would feel if they stumbles on something like that.

Why you say it's a clickbait? The article does talks about the points you mention.

That is my understanding on the title as well. In relation to it's content, I found it pretty dissent.

@ NeuronautML if you have another article that gives a better overview on this topic, it would be great if you could add the link here. Thanks!

I wonder why was the title of the article changed in this post? The initial one was descriptive of its actual content.

Israel moves into Gaza’s second-largest city and intensifies strikes in bloody new phase of the war

Israeli forces storm Khan Younis in south Gaza, killing scores of Palestinians (www.reuters.com)

Since the truce collapsed, Israel has been posting an online map to tell Gazans which parts of the enclave to evacuate. Khan Younis' eastern quarter was marked on Monday, home to hundreds of thousands of people, many of whom took flight on foot.

Gazans say there is no safe place, with remaining towns and shelters already overwhelmed, and Israel continuing to bomb the areas where it is telling people to go.
