I tried Jerboa briefly and couldn't get it to work well for me. Then I visited kbin on my phone's browser and was prompted to install the kbin app!? I haven't seen any references to it, but it's exactly what I wanted...? Has anybody else tried it?
I decided to edit all of my comments to say that I left Reddit in protest and provide a link to the Fediverse. If I leave the comments up when I delete my account, can Reddit edit them back to what they originally were? Should I just delete them?
Honestly, the masses can go ahead and stay there. We have plenty of people here now to have a functioning community without all the Facebook-esque crap those masses dragged in when they joined. I want the small reddit from 10 years ago. This is much closer to that and I'd like it to stay that way.
Crazy. I wanted to check to see if there had been any updates and I was going to check Reddit because I thought I was more likely to find info quickly there. But I decided that I couldn't have seen it on Kbin first if I didn't give Kbin the chance and check it first and here is the exact info I was looking for at the very top of the first page of my Kbin app.
I think that what makes Joe Rogan so dangerous is that he is so good at saying things with such confidence that people just believe him. He can outright say "I'm just an idiot and I don't know anything about this" and his off-the-cuff ramblings still sound like legitimate ponderings to people who also don't know anything about the topic, just because of the way he says them. It's scary.
I have noticed how many of the "I didn't know there were 3rd party apps" and "who cares" comments seem to phrase things very similarly and have wondered how many are being posted by bots. RIP Reddit, we'll remember what you used to be.

OC I haven't seen anyone mention the kbin native(?) app!? I tried it and it seems perfect and amazing?

OC Here's my final idea for a Kbin mascot, I call it the "Kbird" (K = Kakatuá), since someone shared a Fediverse flag resembling a pirate flag I thought a bird mascot would fit.
