I'm aware this is probably because of SEO bs, but I can't google posts on the Fediverse. You can easily find posts/accounts on twitter or Reddit using Google, but not Mastodon, Kbin, Lemmy, etc. The only way to find ANYTHING about them is by going directly through the sites themselves, and typing in the entire domain like it's...
Hello friends! Is there a lemmy community for roguelikes? I am, in this case, looking for a place focused on more traditional roguelikes (DCSS, CCDDA, BROGUE, etc)...
Not sure if it counts, but I've been playing Elona/Eternal League of Nefia. it's been hard though because there is very little english discussion of it, and I refuse to set foot on 4chan where most of it would probably be.
hey everyone,
if you've been keeping tabs on the internet drama you probably know about all of reddit shenanigans. when I first heard about the blackout I was really worried about loosing the 196 community and things like whenthe, r/traaa, and gay sounds shitposts so I decided to try and make an instance that could act as a central hub of sorts and try and keep these communities connected. it's really important that we bring these communities over to the fediverse if we want them to be resilient and I think this is the right step forward. I know things are still rough around the edges and there will be growing pains, but as the lorax said, "a tree falls the way it leans"
reddit and corporations will always lean to enshitification but for once we have something that leans the right way
if this is going to work, we need as many people as possible to start switching over and we are going to need your memes. lots and lots of memes. if we all get on board we can make this work
with this post I would like to officially announce fedi196.gay is up and ready for open registration
I love you all and I look forward to seeing you, wherever you wind up on the fediverse โค๏ธ

That's really interesting. I went during the first day of the blackout, and all of the subs that were still opened seemed really, hollow, to say the least. Some of them only had a couple of posts, and the comments seemed really off for some reason.
Porn has always been a driving force of new technologies. While Kbin isn't a new technology per se I would say it's a indication that the community is here to stay.
Why can't I google anything on the Fediverse?

roguelikes and lemmy

What is it currently like on Reddit, to people still using it?
If anyone on here is still using Reddit, I want to know what's going on post-blackout.
OC My 3rd party app is coming along! Got it pulling actual data from kbin.social! Huge inspo from Apollo app. (tech.lgbt)
Hoping to have a private beta test within a month or two. For now calling the app Kmoon (K๐)...
Remember that the button at the top of the sidebar expands the options to disable federation.

Since we are seeing a lot more porn post I think it's clear Kbin is here to stay.
