In the latest blow to Reddit after its API billing changes, the makers of Minecraft — one of the best-selling video games of all time — have quit the platform.
When games take 2-5 years to make, it’s essentially the same as buying the company. ESPECIALLY when multiple canes in a row are released only for one platform.
But isn’t the asphyxiation here on the levels of, you end up falling asleep and don’t wake up again. It’s not to the degree of you’re choking to death and can’t do anything about it.
I'm a bit confused at the explosive growth of Lemmy and the slower growth of Kbin. Do the stats reflect the reality or is there a problem with the data being fed back to the various stat hubs?...
So hopefully I'm doing this right! :) (I'm still new to some of this so haven't figured out things yet! I did ask this via Mastodon also, but wanted to add more detail to my answer!)...
If you enjoy video games, Waypoint Radio has a solid catalog. They were recently laid off by Vice and are now Remap Radio. They’re on episode 3 so it’s a fantastic entry into the pod.

Yea, I think everyone that is saying Bitwarden supports 2FA is missing the point of 2FA. You don’t want it to be in the same place where all your passwords are, otherwise if someone gets access to your passwords they essentially can prove they are you.
That being said, I use a mixture of Authy + Bitwarden. Bitwarden for sites that require it but aren’t really a priority for me to keep separated, and Authy for 2FA codes that I prefer being separate from my passwords.
All the extra money going to the poors wasted when it could be going into MY pockets. They should work a side gig on the weekend to get the money for lunch! In the end, it will teach them about economics at a young age.
I'm 25 and I don't have a drivers license. I mean, I've never really felt the need to go and get one. Public transport is usually the fastest option where I live, and it takes a lot less responsibility to use it....
Here in Jacksonville, FL, there’s essentially 0 public transport. No bus stop near the neighborhood or to the grocery store (which is 20 minutes away).
It would be ridiculous to go back to the early 2010s/mid 2015s where locked frame rate is the norm. High refresh rate (at least 144) should be standard now. To be honest, games should be made to be viable at all frame rates though I can understand why physics calculations are easier to do when having a standard frame rate.
Do you live in the states? I’ve never really been to a city where public restroom access is well advertised or even convenient. You’re expected to go inside places of business.
It’s real unfortunate because it feels like the PvP is in a pretty good state right now to be honest. Getting rid of the extra tank has increased the pace of the game which has been a great thing.

Why is Kbin seemingly growing considerably slower than Lemmy?

Is there a computer game, or a specific moment, a fight etc that you wish you could do fresh with no prior memory of it?
