If you are a member of any group that is, or has been targeted in this country just for existing as who you are... you can't trust people who target people for no reason over things like this.
If they will dismiss all black people or all Muslims they will dismiss you to at some later date because there isn't logic or reason behind such whims.
May i introduce you to Alice Weidel? I'm still not sure, what happened there, but the co-chairwoman of the racist, anti-feminist, anti-lgbtq, extreme-right, German afd (and leader of their parliamentary group) is a gay women, that has two adopted children with a women from Sri Lanka.
I mean, she is certainly doing her part in spewing hate, but I still can't wrap my head around it...

divide and conquer is one the greatest tactics of hate and fascism: you go after the poor. you go after black people. you go after gay people. you go after trans
and each time there is enough hate in one of those othered groups that you bizarrely pick up support in that group
poor people who hate black people. black people who hate gay people. trans who hate the poor. etc., etc
hate unfortunately works in politics, and long as it does, it's a heavy slog
