2024 is a mega election year and the EU elections are taking place this week. This is the 2nd largest election in the world - around 350 million people are eligible to vote.

Just like the elections in India and the USA this year - this one is very important for coexistence on our planet. Therefore, we want to use our reach and call on all those who are entitled to vote to make their voice heard.

We must not leave the EU to the far-right parties and must defend our democracies. Please vote.

Long shot here, but: Science fiction short story about a guy who has slowed down the aging process, but at the (unintended) cost of slower perception. The world around him goes faster and faster, decades strobing by, and the story ends with him sitting at a typewriter, tapping out the last letters of his suicide note over the course of hundreds of years.

It’s probably been 30, 35 years since I read it.

It's fun that people come up with truly clever little hacks like the udm14 trick for Google search and find ways to integrate it into their setups, but I can't help but feel that it has the same vibe as those allegedly heart-warming news stories where a kid runs a lemonade stand to raise money to pay off their classmates' school lunch debt or their Mom's medical bills. Like, that's nice but why the hell are we even in this situation in the first place?
