I'm a little lost (or not). Why would someone uuencode a function just to comment it out??

What am I missing? What? Why? WHY? WHY???

I uuencoded it (after compressing it) to save space (vertical space, especially) without actually tossing the function, in case I want to use it later.

Hmmm...Ok, I can see some logic in that. I just haven't seen/used uuencode since my telnet days into the Uni over X.25 in order to use Telix's text capture to download files since Y/Z-modem didn't work. (uuencode, turn on capture text, then cat the file...)

Yeah, I remember thinking it was pretty wizard in 1992.

Much later, I found out it's basically just base64. XD
