#BloomScrolling One more of some lady slippers we came across.

CindySue,

@Jennifer There were so many! We found yellow, pink, and orange ones.

Standing on a boulder. Note: I am too old to be climbing this shit. It was rough coming down.

CindySue, to random

There were huge boulders covered in moss. This is a small one.

Had a good hike through the woods. Here's a tiny flower I came across.

Hiking in the woods in the Upper Peninsula today. Here's a fern for starters. More pics soon.

The first of our swamp roses.

My neighbor got two cows and now I am so excited to listen to them moo! I want farm animals so much.

Have you ever attended a virtual book club? Which one? How was your experience?

CindySue,

@razumasu I used to attend one on Instagram. It was fine. The conversations were quality.

I called the doctor's office at the right time. I got in this week. Usually it's a two month wait time. Someone must have just cancelled.

So I am not going to run out of my meds after all, but I do still want to talk to him about weaning myself off of them. I know I need meds to go about my life (bipolar 1), but I don't like how harsh the meds I am on are. The TD itself is almost unbearable.

@CindySue

Just a heads up. Getting a SSL error at woodworking.group

CindySue,

@wedge thanks. We will look into it.

CindySue,

@wedge It is recovering now. You should be able to get in.

CindySue,

@wedge We do monitor it, but our alert didn't go off. We will look into that. Thanks for the heads up.

CindySue,

@wedge No bother at all!

Well, all my neighbors should leave today. They'll probably leave early because it's supposed to be rainy. Can't spend the day on the lake in the rain. It's been busy though so I think we're off to a good start for the summer around here.

In Cheboygan, Michigan, there are no local journalists to report news.

Local residents are turning to Facebook for local news. (Personal note: argh, Facebook isn't a reliable or trustworthy resource to learn what's happening in your community.)

CindySue,

@redcrew As someone who doesn't live too far from Cheboygan in northern Michigan, this is nothing new in our rural communities. I rejoined Facebook just to get my local news and information from my local officials. Everything is done on Facebook and it is very concerning.

challenge: Choose 20 books that greatly influenced you. One book per day, for 20 days. *No explanations, no reviews, just covers.

Day 2:

  • I’ll be brief: Christopher Pike’s books were my introduction to thrillers and scarier books. Fall Into Darkness was the first book I read of his, probably around 7th grade.
CindySue,

@Likewise When I was a kid, I was penpals with a boy in Florida and we would send each other books. This was one he sent me. Good memories!

I don't know what this bush is. My mom planted it years ago. We are all very allergic to it, but the flowers are so pretty and they only bloom for a short period of time so we haven't torn it out.

Let's play spot the snake.

CindySue, to Bloomscrolling

These pretty blue flowers were in the alley we parked at to go to the bar for dinner.

In my happy place this weekend. 🌄 The leaves aren't out all the way yet, but everything is turning green.

Oh, and Jill Biden was in the area yesterday and today.
