The weather report from up here at the family cabin outside Yosemite is scattered lupines with a chance of bluebirds later today.

Any foothills botanists know why lupines grow in old burn piles?

Right now the hillsides around the cabin are festooned with purple circles with lupines growing thick in charcoal going back to 2004.
