Stop calling generative text and image programs AI. It's inaccurate and insulting. They are just the evolution of corporate creative theft that's been going on as long as media corporations have existed.

Hmm.. just contemplating.. how does a Mastodon™ API-compatible server, that runs on SQLite, offers full-text search w/o Elasticsearch, is a single binary, handles 20+ times the traffic on the same machine, fully migrates existing Postgres databases and supports multi-instance hosting, sound to you operators? 🤔​

I'm sure that must already exist somewhere? 🍿​ I'm sure ...

    are binaries destined to be huge? Built in release with all size optimisations i could find and a minimal app with only enough dependencies to parse SVG and draw to the Linux framebuffer was still some megabytes in size (yes i stripped it). Compared to C where the same program is under 300k

    what gives?

    For those wondering, ′′how did i do it?":
    I boiled 10L of water, added 2 tablespoons of vinegar, 1 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate, two cups of coke, and half cup of lemon juice, then stirred well. Waited 3 minutes, put the pan in the solution for 45 minutes, then added a quarter cup of chlorine bleach to the mixture. Then I brushed it with a firm toothbrush and put it back into the liquid for another 25 minutes. I took it out, rinsed it, and it looked exactly the same, so I threw it away, and went and bought a new one.

    Edit: Please don’t actually make this concoction! The resulting mixture may produce poisonous gases! This toot is a joke, the pictures are not even my pans. I didn’t throw any pans away. Following these directions, despite the fact it probably won’t do anything useful, would be fucking stupid and you may win a Darwin Award.

    @nixCraft Http version 500. It is the fith gen of HTTP. First we had HTTP1, then 2. 3 was dropped, and currrently we are at fifth gen. being 500.

    @neil maaaybeee, because the two communities are segregated. For example I never listen to the radio. But there are people that do all the time. Like people that have to drive for a long period of time. (Bus, taxi, commute, etc.) Or people in kitchens etc.
