@cjk mein letztes Rose bike hatte ich zu Schulzeiten, aber die waren damals immer recht ordentlich. Ich bin aber raus aus dem Thema.

Generell is “gravel” etwas sehr hype und man bekommt oft günstigere bikes zum selben Zweck wenn man nur nen anderen lenker an ein schlankes Hardtail baut.

Aber 2,7k€ für ein Markencarbonrad scheint nicht schlecht.

@cjk Wie die GRX Schaltung mit der XT vergleicht weiß ich nicht, aber ich verbaue nur noch XT. Hält ewig und ist leicht. Aber kann man auch erst mal das GRX platt fahren und dann später aufrüsten.

@gerotakke @cjk ja, das meine ich. Mein default ist eigentlich immer ein schlankes 26" MTB und dann dran bauen, was man will.

Ich habe gerate ein GT Zaskar hardtail, dass mit jeden “Gravel” mithalten kann, und alles Standardkomponenten. Bräuchte nur einen anderen Lenker (den ich nicht brauche :)

@gerotakke ah Bremsen and drop is fair. Das ist halt überhaupt nicht mein Ding, deswegen fehlt mir da die Erfahrung. Ich will doch auch was von der Natur sehen, no hat nur den Boden. Aber vllt heißt das deswegen gravel?

@gerotakke @cjk this, plus: wenn Du vom Rennrad kommst, dann wirste damit sehr happy sein. Ich mag halt gerne wenigstens ein bisschen Federung vorne für Wald und Kopfsteinpflaster, und halt aufrechter sitzen, aber that’s me.

Any Dutch people around? We are trying to rent an appartment for our son who will start studying at Utrecht University this summer and we were planning on renting a flat in our name and let him live there. Is that kind of arrangement possible in the Netherlands or is he restricted to the (non-existent) student housing? Any insights would be much appreciated 👍🏻.

T minus 98 hours and I'll be on a plane to Europe for the first time in five years (way too long IMHO!). I'm taking a couple of days over the weekend to explore some countries in Eastern Europe that I haven't seen very much of before (Slovenia, Hungary, and Poland) and then I'll be attending and presenting at European Identity Conference in Berlin.

This little guy arrived last night from Japan. Dug into dating it (serial number's aren’t serial alas) and it's from 1973.

Works perfectly, lens is pristine, light meter seems to be working perfectly > 50 years later. No batteries needed Already 1/2 a film into it.

Olympus Trips were heavily marketed in the UK in the 70s/80s. I bought it mainly for collection's sake though and don't really expect to shoot with it more.
