    @cliffwade I've been seeing everyone talk about Calckey lately. It's a fork of Misskey, which I've tried out too. * points to my Misskey account on my profile *

    There's a reason I use Masto more than Misskey. While it's nice & has some fun features, nothing that's enough to make me want to fully jump.

    @cliffwade Oh yea, it's why I rarely use my Misskey account. There's nothing there to really draw me to it. So, I throw up silly jokes there from time to time. I then boost it from here.

    @cliffwade Honestly - it started as I wanted to see what Misskey was about, so signed up for an account.

    Then as I almost feel bad for having it & rarely using it...I toss up a random post from time to time. Yea...it's kind of pointless.

    I get Pixelfed & use it on the regular, but Misskey hasn't given me enough reason to use it.

    And yes I like my anime / manga, hence being on both anime based Misskey & Mastodon instances.

    And no offense taken. My wife doesn't like anime or manga either. It's all good. To each their own.

    I don't dislike Misskey, I just don't get enough out of it that I don't already get from Mastodon and prefer on Masto.

    So, I decided to go to and give myself a challenge to limit the area I could work in.

    I used interior walls and a pillar to make a small 4 x 4 area.

    I then decided to design a dorm room. I've done similar, larger rooms like this before. This is the first time I've made it wicked small.

    I think it came out pretty good and looks very similar to the dorm room I had when I was in undergrad.

    I still have my Gameboy Advance which I got in 2001 from my 12th birthday. Do I want to mod it.. hmmm

    Also have my Pokรฉmon Gold and Crystal carts, but the batteries are dead on them and wonโ€™t save

    @chikorita157 I have replaced batteries before in GBC carts. It...was ugly, but functional. Some of the retrogame stores down here, tho, will do it for you on the cheap. I think one place charged $5 plus the cost of the battery.

    CalcKey has a lot going for it. Really pretty UI and great customization options. CalcKey and Akkoma are doing something very different from Mastodon. Mastodon still has better controls around what you see and what you don't see. Which one is right for you? Only you can decide. Make an account and try it out for a few days. The fediverse has something for everyone.

    @jcrabapple I had been curious about Calckey. Felt like that was half of what Fedi was talking about the past few days!

    I haven't played around with it yet, but am definitely curious. So far I have tried Masto, Misskey (Foundkey fork), and Pixelfed. Liking each for different things.

    @mrissi_neko @og Easy peezy to shorthand - for Pixelfed stuff on Mastodon, you just type @ username followed by @ instance removing all those spaces.

    For this account it would look like this - @mrissi_neko

    Hope it helps! All these integrated Fediverse accounts are a learning curve. But, I have found it worthwhile.

    @mrissi_neko @mrissi_neko Pixelfed has its own app if you wanted to log in that way. It will give you more options too when you do so.

    I use an Android phone and the Android app works well. There's also Pixeldroid which works pretty good too if you wanted an alternative https://pixelfed.org/mobile-apps
