@NaraMoore Been using DuckDuckGo for a while since I decide to ditch Google after my Alumnai email is going away soon because of GSuite Education changes, it’s workable I suppose for most things.

Just had one of those low level aha moments. I don’t have a TikTok account, I don’t have the app nor do I go to the web site.

So now I’m sure that if anyone is reading this they are thinking: “Yon, that’s an awfully long winded way to say you don’t watch any TikTok videos!”

Well, not true:) A crazy amount of TikToks are reposted as YouTube shorts.

@yon and I use Invidious to watch the Youtube video. I don't want to give Google any money.

But I will never touch Tiktok likewise with other apps like Temu and the likes, too much of a privacy risk.

@yon I think storage will the the huge factor as video takes a lot of space, but I don't think Peertube store videos from other servers.

All Wanikani items were burned a few days ago. Time to spend some time with immersion and doing Bunpro reviews.. to prepare for a second JLPT attempt in December hopefully and I will come prepared this time.

@noname I need to pass N2 first, which I didn't do so good, although the vocab section was good. I didn't do enough immersion, but hopefully I will be prepared this time as I have a bunch of prep books. Just need to read and listen more.

@chikorita157 Heard of XBox’s recent issues? That they will open up their exclusives (and I’m sitting here with an XBox thinking, not much to care about their exclusives), poor hardware and gamepass sales, etc.

But that’s not my point. I’m baffled that I can have an idea that apparently senior staff there don’t. Said it before, but I’ll bet you this would be a hit:

XBox “Deck/Switch”, the OS.

Installable on generic x86 hardware (and ARM if that happens). Basically the Windows version of the Steam Deck. Stay in XBox for gaming, and optionally “drop into” windows (if you install that part).

Instant Windows gaming library, Game Pass, and store.

Not that I’m advocating for it per se, just baffles me that they haven’t had the idea.

Or am I super off and nobody would want it? Feels better than “raw” Windows on a handheld gaming machine.

Reeks of desperation. I would never switch to Comcast, since they have data caps and worse internet service than Fios.

Also receive ads and even Comcast people wanting me to switch. I would never.

I swear, I’m not going out there and starting to collect PowerPC G3 accelerators for beige Power Macintoshes.

Also, the ones Japanese companies like Interware comes up with interesting designs. Buffalo also made G3 accelerator cards too. Yes, the Macintosh is popular in Japan back in the day, especially the amount of games made for it.
