So... I left Evernote months ago when they hiked their pro plan subscription (like 163% !) It was bloated, and their free plan was crippled; that + the company had been struggling for years to find a CEO who could bring some kind of vision back to the app. It all flopped and they were sold to Bending Spoons.

Over the ensuing months, I was fortunate to find a replacement! An Open Source, fully encrypted, Evernote killer. And what a note taking app it has become.

A major release (v3.0) was launched officially today. 8 months of non-stop development and testing by a two-man Dev team has really brought this app center stage. These guys are hands-on with listening to user feedback on their NN Discord server; when they find time to sleep beats me (the plight of the developer).

@notesnook I couldn't find in your T&C if you have a time limit before deletion for a user that doesnt pay in advance (I suppose it is downgraded to a free account) or for ar user that have not paid, is downgraded, but is exceding free space quota. Will in the first and the second case the data be deleted? Or it is going to be keeped forever? (Please, don't have a policy of 1 month or 6 month deletion. Take a look at Posteo policy, they dont delete the data but block some things and after a lot of time they delete it. But dont do as cryptee or mailbox.org that delete the data after 30 days of not being able to pay. Proton used to give forever for at least one time paid accounts. Tutanota only gives 6 months. What happens if an activist go to jail? At least 2 years of data security for Notesnook).

Asking all the #activitypub and #mastodon #fediverse experts:

Would it make sense for Notesnook to be able to publish notes to ActivityPub? Is that a right use case for it or would it require hacks? What would be the best way to approach/implement this?

From a very quick research, it'd require a self hosted fediverse compatible server. Users would have to sign up or their accounts would need to be created there.
