How OpenBSD is dealing with the xz problem (as seen on the OpenBSD.ports mailing list). This package is not in the base system (it is on my laptop, though):

@morgant @mattdm TBH, I'm surprised this wasn't discussed on OpenBSD.misc.

I don't usually go to the OpenBSD.ports mailing list, but I had a feeling there might be something about it.

I'm no insider, but the base system in OpenBSD is highly scrutinized, and ports/packages not as much. It would be impossible to do so. (I really don't know how the project has so many packages, but it's very helpful.)
