New research suggests the concentration of CO2 is not only a potential indicator of airborne virus incidence, but that relatively high CO2 concentration helps keep virus particles viable due to pH levels. it id definitely time for that indoor air revolution!

Let me clarify “indoor air revolution” for the contrarians — there are ways to design or retrofit buildings to increase air exchange and flow, including with window placements and passive ventilation and strategic use of basic fans. We can make schools and hospitals etc healthier for everyone by recognizing, as we once did with sewage and sanitation, that we can design sickness out of our living spaces

if you’ve ever tried to organize political change irl, you know that broad appeals on social media are a footnote to your real work of spreadsheets, phone calls, knocking on doors, and learning how to meet folks where they’re at & catalyze action. you know you don’t turn out your votes or actions by posting, and you definitely know that insulting people is not persuasive and gives your cause a bad name

viciously blaming all current problems on hypothetical leftists or nonvoters is a big win for fascists: they really want you sitting at your keyboard enraged at your own base or an abstract left wing. because then you’re not out building community with vulnerable people, you’re not having nuanced and intelligent discussion with folk who have different life experiences, you’re not — to put it bluntly — practicing the kind of solidarity that defeats fascism

    being a very small but real business today is like people try to not pay bills to you but you still have to pay bills to others, very large corporations fuck you but you take the fall with your customers, also inflation really fucks you. this is the reality of not being powerful enough to defend yourself in “The Market”, oh yeah also health insurance and benefits ha ha ha ha ha ha ha 😂 — anyway i do my best and try to be thankful I at least control my own day which is the whole point of this
