@DJDarren cycle to work schemes are great for this sort of thing. Effective 0% interest and salary sacrifice (so it comes out of your pay pre-tax)

You don't need to actually use it to get to work on ;-)

I’ve installed @AsahiLinux on my M2 Macbook Air, and…wow!

I genuinely wasn’t expecting it to just work. There’s a bit of input lag, which I’m putting down to it literally having been running for five minutes. But it’s currently installing updates, which will hopefully smooth that out.

What cooking direction shook you to the very core with how bloody good it is, and you’ve done it that way ever since?

For me, it was discovering that traditional bolognese ragu uses celery, carrot, and milk, and has no garlic.

Had a shitty mental health day today. Didn’t sleep well last night, meaning I took some otherwise fairly meaningless bad news this morning very poorly.

As a result, I’ve been mopey today, unable or unwilling to do much more than play a stupid colour matching game on my iPad, or watch boring shit on YouTube. Ended up going back to bed to read. Dozed off instead.

@flexghost I read once somewhere that the US has no product safety certification scheme like European countries do, and that the whole thing is essentially litigation based. Dangerous products can and do get to market, but are only withdrawn after lawsuits. Absolutely crazy.

He recorded a techno album under the pseudonym SSV (Screw Shareholder Value), then removed the drums before handing over the masters. It was never officially released, but I’ve heard a bootleg and it’s bloody awful 😆
