However, history teaches us that not only did they exist, some were quite successful in their career. With the success of the recent television series about Bass Reeves, curiosity has grown for stories from the era that don't reflect the narrative we've been fed.

Yesterday was rough- a woman rushed into the #library with her kids saying something about pedophile. I thought maybe someone there had been looking at something inappropriate. (It definitely happens) I followed but too late to get between her & the man- she apparently pushed him, yelling “keep your hands off my child you pedophile” /1

Well it was supposed to be the first day of my vacation and I was going to spend the day getting a few things ready before my grands come this evening (they fly with me tomorrow to their aunts- my middle daughter's home). BUT No.... nothing can be that easy.

I was walking the dogs yesterday and listening to my podcast, as I do. The podcast faded out which happens only if I am out of range. I checked pockets and of course, it's not there. It must have flipped out of my coat... gah!

We have upsloping conditions in June!! This is something that just doesn’t happen in June. It’s a common phenomenon here in March/April- air coming out of the east is forced against the ⛰️ It hits the foothills and there’s only one way to go… 🆙
But it can’t until it offloads some weight because the ☁️ are saturated with moisture. ☔️
Ironically this arid state has no efficient way to store all this 💧 . We’re just drowning. #today
