Sitting down to make art & getting overwhelmed with the possibilities. I almost wish I was REALLY good at one specific type of art versus decent at a bunch of them. I know I could seriously level up if I genuinely dedicated myself to ONE particular style & medium, but I'd get so freaking BORED.

@Well_Worth_A_Read @horrorbooks @horror LOL To be fair, you've only read one, and I think it's more of a statement on the darker aspects of life, not necessarily that the stories are darker (altho some of them may be.)
I thought the first one WAS dark, w its implications re: the son's unfulfilled dreams & the fact that your future can hinge solely on a chance encounter to change the entire trajectory of a life.
I'm 4 in so far- one was pretty dark but it also reminded me of earlier work of his.

@Well_Worth_A_Read @horror I'm up to the Cujo sequel (Rattlesnakes) now. So far the best stories are ones I'd already read and it seems pretty mid, overall. Not bad by any means, but definitely not up there with my favorites of his.

Now that I'm almost done, I agree with you. I had also been hoping for something with a much darker tone.
