@ap236@canadiangreens@cdnpoli I'd suggest that lumping all #EVs together in one category is a mistake. Some are built by car manufacturers like Nissan, with long experience in producing a sound product. Others, like Tesla, are new to motor vehicle design and manufacture.
I'm in four online support groups for EV drivers and I don't see anything like 80% more reliability issues.
What I do see is drivers tackling a system that's new to them and being tripped up by their lack of knowledge and experience.
You'd be amazed how many "breakdowns" turn out to be a flat or dead 12volt battery, the driver was simply so focused on the functioning of the #EV system that they forgot the 12volt. Sometimes the driver doesn't even know their car has a standard 12 volt car battery! Let alone that they can be jump started like any other car.
Don't forget to check with your local library to see what internet subscription goodies they have available for library patrons.
