ShadowPlay, Need to get in the mood for tomorrow's #SolarEclipse? Let me suggest some #HorrorShorts to watch (from my #Lovecraftian #CosmicHorror #ShortFilm Fest from last August). Thought the community would enjoy this small German production film adaptation of HP Lovecraft’s The Colour Out Of Space. It nails the tone and sense of dread, and is a mostly faithful adaptation (as opposed to the Nicholas Cage movie). If you liked The Lighthouse let’s say, there’s a good chance you’d like this!
Production values are high, some interesting additions to the genre. Like Slay the Spire, but with Elder Gods
glittercleric, I made a banner for my #CosmicHorror #dnd campaign using Canva. Nothing super fancy because I prefer simplicity, but I like it. The red has a narrative importance - it's the color associated with the big bad, an ancient starspawn seeking to conquer the multiverse for its dreadful Great Old One creator.
jbzfn, 「 If World of Horror could be reduced to a single word, it’d be “dread.” It's a point-and-click cosmic horror game created by Polish developer and dentist, Pawel Kozminski (also known as Panstasz). And after spending years in early access, Ysbryd Games finally released it to the public this month on Steam, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Nintendo Switch. It was well worth the wait 」
