I know the developers are working hard and I'm sure they'll be coming with Mlem updates. I hope to see a notification centre being added, as well as the posts being collapsed instead of full-length. Do you wish for an Apollo type of design, or similar?...
Like the title says, I've been trying to log in to lemmy.world for the last two days, and the login button just spins forever. I've tried on both Brave and Firefox for Android, currently posting this from Jerboa.
Kbin is the first Reddit alternative I looked at and i liked the UI so I stuck with it. I kind of assumed everything would be kbin. I thought I understood things. I thought it was kbin and lemmy separate but they federated and so I’d be able to access lemmy stuff from kbin. Which I guess is true. But now I’m confused. I look...
Hi, all! I'm posting to Lemmy from desktop, and I'm having trouble finding where one adds an image description (commonly known as a "caption" or "alt text") for accessibility when making an image post....
It's from a car battery maintainer. I've seen it on other things before so I figure it has to have a name. I'm trying to figure it out so I can make a setup that makes plugging my car battery in easier....
Hi, not sure if this is the right place to post. I'm moving over to Jerboa from rif and I'm having a hard time changing my phone settings. I'm on Android 10. When I used rif, I could open reddit links - and only reddit links - within rif and stay in the app. With Jerboa, clicking on instances, communities, or user pages in...
I'm 25 and I don't have a drivers license. I mean, I've never really felt the need to go and get one. Public transport is usually the fastest option where I live, and it takes a lot less responsibility to use it....
Seriously, on a daily basis I'll either bump my head or various other body parts, drop stuff and then drop it again, stumble over something and combinations of all of that....
I cannot put into words how profoundly stupid this "feature" is. AOL and Geocities pages were genuinely more user friendly. Whoever added it, refreshed the page and said "yeah, this works well" and left it in should be fired! ...out of a cannon and into the Sun!
I been trying to login into lemmy on two different instances on my computer and it just get stuck loading. It does not login , I tried to change the password and also not working just loading. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I'm a moderator in one of the Lemmy communities and want to set up a bot to post a message every day. I only found this; is that the best way? I'm a developer, so I'm confident I can set it up on a locally hosted server, but then other moderators won't be able to edit it. Is there a better way to do this?
very new here, visiting different instances, and noticing that when I search "all" communities, I get different results based on what instance Im searching from. I joined one instance and subscribed to a community, but that instance was having technical problems, so I joined another instance, but I cannot find that same...
Serious question, as I‘ve barely seen any mention of Lemmy on Reddit. None of the Mod posts regarding the Blackout mentioned Lemmy as far as I‘m aware. Would it be against the TOS to start a coordinated promotion?
