People not from English-speaking countries, was it possible to watch cartoons in English subbed?
Sorry, I don’t really know how to phrase my question. For example, we know that over here in the USA, a box set of dragon ball z contains the English dub and the original Japanese track. If someone from somewhere else wanted to watch, let’s say SpongeBob on DVD, could they expect the original English track or was it...
Does a tornado have the force to knock a cow into your house?
Like I live near a ranch (is that the right word?) of cows and I don’t want to see some 🐮 as my last image before death. Not a troll I swear 🙏

YSK that it is not a proper way to wash your fruits and veggies with soap
Why YSK this is that some of the soap absorbs into the fruit, especially berries, and let's say you are washing your cherries with dish soap, and you eat them. That story ends with a long bathroom trip as soap makes you a little queasy. ETA: Nobody has heard about this?! I see it in the southeast where I live.
When blowing birthday candles, would the cake technically be safe to eat since it has someone's saliva all over it?
Note: Already hit over 1k subscribers 😝
Do you think if Lemmy ever grows in the far future, could it suffer the same fate as reddit because of money?
I mean, there are already 3rd party clients and when reddit goes through with their plan a lot of redditors will migrate.
Why the heck does my body feel like it's tripping sometimes when I sleep?
So I'm about to snooze when all of a sudden before I drift off it feels like I missed a stair in my bed and I start to fall until I'm forcefully woken up by the shock. Like, WTH?! It's not like a dream where you fall off a skyscraper, it's more like before you start to dream when it happens.
YSK that grapes blow up in the microwave
Why YSK this is that when I was 13 I saw a YouTube video (back in the wee early days) and I saw this experiment where two people put a grape in the microwave, in a jar. Well, I thought that it was cool, so I did it myself. And that's when it got bad. I put an entire grapevine in the microwave with no jar to encase them and...
