I can’t comprehend why you’d put a link to a summary of the original article (a freaking mobile link to boot) instead of the original story.

Seriously, fuck IMDB and fuck amazon.

Original story: fandomwire.com/grow-up-these-are-my-movies-not-yo…

The third movie was rewritten so many times, just be happy it ever came out so Fincher could later make good movies

Yeah, when I first saw it I hated it, today I no longer dislike it and for me it’s the 3 best, but people didn’t understand where the eggs were, it could have been inside the dropship for example, there was a lot of time to put them on the journey.

This is the first I’m hearing about.

It is like B:TAS but it’s being redone?

It is like B:TAS but it’s being redone?

Kinda, yeah.

Bruce Timm is the showrunner and Matt Reeves is one of the executive producers, so it ought to be great.

We haven’t gotten a trailer yet.

Tristaniopsis, to scifi in Doorways is a TV Movie from 1993 that's written by George RR Martin and features the fiancee from Father of the Bride. It's free on Tubi right now. What other free movies would you I̶n̶f̶l̶i̶c̶t̶ recommend?

Damn. My mind wanted to read that as ‘Father Ted’.

Now THAT would be a movie.

HerbalGamer,

which part made you read that?

Tristaniopsis,

The “Father” part.

KnightontheSun,

Too bad the actor died right after the series ended. Love that show.

Tristaniopsis,

@spittingimage@lemmy.world avatar

Never saw it, but my parents watched a lot of crime movies that I didn’t understand. Probably for the best. I was sort of a nervous kid.

Shows like this continue to convince me that animation is the way to go for sci-fi and fantasy. Why spend tons on live-action actors and cgi for a show or movie to just look dated a decade later when you could just stylize the shit out of cartoon like this? Like imagine how good the GoT adaptation could have been if they would have given us a cartoon way closer to a 1:1 adaptation. I know animation can be expensive too, I just think it’s money better spent.

No, gracias!

RamSwamson, to bmoviebonanza in The Batwoman (1968)

This movie went digital somewhat recently and I saw it on Vudu, shows a release date of 2022 I think? I was curious, so I watched the trailer. No trailer but they had a clip from the movie. It was a scene where they’re discussing some sort of strategy against said mad scientist and I shit ye not, it was a few uniformed officers gathered around a table and Batwoman, in pretty much just a bikini, acting all serious and trying to blend in with them. I couldn’t stop laughing and definitely couldn’t take it seriously.

Lauchs,

Ha, that sounds perfect! And only moderately less ridiculous than when Batman and Robin hung around with police officers dressed in their batgear.

I see she’s got the highest level armor on too

Lauchs,

I can’t imagine an attack those Batboots wouldn’t deflect!

From the trivia:

At one point, due to the amount of fake blood being used, production bought all of the corn syrup available in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. There was nowhere in town to buy any corn syrup for two days.£

It’s like if you took Moebius art and turned it into a series and combined a little Akira in there. Just absolutely fantastic show. Real mind bender.
