Yeah, when I first saw it I hated it, today I no longer dislike it and for me it’s the 3 best, but people didn’t understand where the eggs were, it could have been inside the dropship for example, there was a lot of time to put them on the journey.
Shows like this continue to convince me that animation is the way to go for sci-fi and fantasy. Why spend tons on live-action actors and cgi for a show or movie to just look dated a decade later when you could just stylize the shit out of cartoon like this? Like imagine how good the GoT adaptation could have been if they would have given us a cartoon way closer to a 1:1 adaptation. I know animation can be expensive too, I just think it’s money better spent.
This movie went digital somewhat recently and I saw it on Vudu, shows a release date of 2022 I think? I was curious, so I watched the trailer. No trailer but they had a clip from the movie. It was a scene where they’re discussing some sort of strategy against said mad scientist and I shit ye not, it was a few uniformed officers gathered around a table and Batwoman, in pretty much just a bikini, acting all serious and trying to blend in with them. I couldn’t stop laughing and definitely couldn’t take it seriously.
At one point, due to the amount of fake blood being used, production bought all of the corn syrup available in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. There was nowhere in town to buy any corn syrup for two days.£
