Compared to 2022, I played fewer games, but got a lot more Achievement Points, and probably spent more hours in particular games.

My personal GOTY is undoubtedly . There are not many games out there that can hold my attention for 100 hours straight. Almost all of those hours were spent in September. I would have probably spent more hours than that, but I got a new project to manage at work and started playing it. I'll return to the game after a while, hopefully soon, when implements FRS3 and mod support.

As you may have noticed, about 70% of the games on my list are . The quality of indie games has improved significantly over the last decade. Five years ago you had to search for good indies, now it's hard to choose what to play first. 3 main drivers for indie games: , , . You may laugh, but is also an indie game. Last year, my GOTY (indie and in general) was - the game was released in 2018, but I only started this game after The Queen and the Sea DLC was released, and I played about 100 hours straight as well. But there were also 4 very strong contenders:




If you haven't played these games, I highly recommend giving them a try.

Supraland: Six Inches Under - - with very strong vibes, clever puzzles in a fun setting. It's a rare game that I want to return to and complete 100%.

I also want to mention 4 / games that were released some time ago, but I only played them in 2023:

- it's an Indie , I played 60h in one month
- 2D platformer with cool music and atmosphere
- 2D -style strategy with tower defence elements
- hack and slash dungeon crawler with a very cool story unfolding in the background.

All games are highly recommended.
