Lol, it's a very stupid comment from . Firstly, Apple doesn't force them to create a separate browser version for the EU; they can have one version of the good old restricted . Secondly, you cannot ask the EU to change laws and rules in other countries around the globe.

If Apple is not happy about allowing full versions of browsers for iOS, they are pretty stupid. The lack of normal browsers is a major flaw for the iPad Pro right now. It also opens the path for Electron apps to iOS, which could bring a big push for the entire operating system.

  • mik0e1,

@BeAware. I have tried playing without a subscription, and it's a slightly different experience compared to single-player games. First of all, you don't have saves, so you cannot replay quests if you did them wrong or want to check "what if...?" Secondly, I found a village, but all NPCs were killed by someone.

Finally, Rivera has been fired. I rooted for that since the 3rd week of the season.

Let's do a Saturday #Starfield thread. Looks like a lot of people are upset about this picture, because what could be innovative in "#Fallout in space" is "it's like a generic #Bethesda RPG but in space". This is true and untrue, let me explain. I'm not trying to change your mind about this game, it's just my explanation of why a lot of people spend a lot of time playing it, and what's innovative about it.

    mik0e1,

It's "#Fallout in space" because you can play it like Fallout - just fast travel between locations, doing quests for all the factions, killing all the enemies on all the different ships and bases, selling items, crafting items, developing skills. Some people like it, some people don't, it's fine. You can play #Starfield that way, that's fine too, but you're probably missing about 40% of the gameplay.
    #Steam #Xbox #XboxSeriesX #Gamepass

    mik0e1,

But leaving #Fallout and classic #Bethesda RPGs aside, I want to try and explain a part of the game that a lot of people haven't even noticed. Bethesda told us that about 13 million people are playing #Starfield, from indirect data I guess it splits 5 million #Steam, 8 million #Xbox ecosystem. As you can see with 108h, I'm in the 15% of players in the Xbox ecosystem. This means that about 1.2 million players played more than 100h. Even without Steam it's a huge number.

    mik0e1,

To be honest, I wasn't too excited about #Starfield before its big reveal, but one thing caught my eye - there are several threads on #Steam and #Reddit where people are sharing book recommendations, and most of those books are from my all-time favourite list. There are also recommendations for movies and TV shows, but that's a common thing for games, but I've never seen anyone ask for a book recommendation for a game.

    mik0e1,

So the simple answer to the question "Why do people spend so much time in this game?” - allows you to live inside a sci-fi book, and it's a very realistic sci-fi book. paid a lot of attention to detail. When you read a sci-fi book, you always imagine what it would be like: getting on your own spaceship, sitting in the captain's chair, taking off. How big is the spaceship? What is the weather like on the planet? And gives you the answers to all these questions.

While I did like this leaves me puzzled beyond belief.

It has not a single bit of innovation I could think of. What in the world?

won the 2023 Most Innovative Gameplay Award.

    make it make sense?

@Imperor Planet physics, gravity, spaceships, space travel, etc.

Let me start a thread about my gaming year on #Xbox
    #xboxseriesx #xboxgamepass #gaming #gamepass #gamepassultimate

    mik0e1,

Compared to 2022, I played fewer games, but got a lot more Achievement Points, and probably spent more hours in particular games.

    mik0e1,

It's not a complete list of the games I've played, but all the games that are worth mentioning.

    mik0e1,

My personal GOTY is undoubtedly . There are not many games out there that can hold my attention for 100 hours straight. Almost all of those hours were spent in September. I would have probably spent more hours than that, but I got a new project to manage at work and started playing it. I'll return to the game after a while, hopefully soon, when implements FRS3 and mod support.

    mik0e1,

As you may have noticed, about 70% of the games on my list are . The quality of indie games has improved significantly over the last decade. Five years ago you had to search for good indies, now it's hard to choose what to play first. 3 main drivers for indie games: , , . You may laugh, but is also an indie game. It was even released on under .

    mik0e1,

Last year, my GOTY (indie and in general) was - the game was released in 2018, but I only started this game after The Queen and the Sea DLC was released, and I played about 100 hours straight as well. But there were also 4 very strong contenders:

If you haven't played these games, I highly recommend giving them a try.

    mik0e1,

Of the games coming out in 2023, I can definitely recommend checking these out:

    mik0e1,

Supraland: Six Inches Under - - with very strong vibes, clever puzzles in a fun setting. It's a rare game that I want to return to and complete 100%.

    video/mp4

    mik0e1,

I also want to mention 4 / games that were released some time ago, but I only played them in 2023:

    - it's an Indie , I played 60h in one month
    - 2D platformer with cool music and atmosphere
    - 2D -style strategy with tower defence elements
    - hack and slash dungeon crawler with a very cool story unfolding in the background.

    All games are highly recommended.

    mik0e1, to NFL

Mahomes and Reid really blame the refs for their loss? Fucking hypocrites.

    mik0e1,

@cbrines @nfl I'm afraid I could do a series of pictures from last year's playoffs when the referees called in favour of KC and one of the pictures would be from the final minutes of the SuperBowl. So maybe they should spend more time training and less time acting in StateFarm commercials.

    mik0e1, to NFL

It looks like refeerring is just getting worse.

    mik0e1, to NFL

Let me say it out loud - almost all of the NFL's special games this year (International, Thanksgiving, Black Friday) are pretty shitty.
