Granite inscription reading, "The battle belonged that morning to the thin, wet line of khaki that dragged itself ashore on the Channel coast of France," a quote from General Omar N. Bradley.
A somber memorial of a 10-foot 3-sided open raw steel (rust-colored) cell with pale gray loose stone floor and a bayonette rifle stabbed into the ground, topped by a WW2 metal helmet. There is dramatic lightplay with the shadows forming diagonals and the shadow of the trophy onto the floor.
