Note that since the moon does not have an atmosphere, the low elevation angle of the sun does not much affect the intensity of solar radiation at the Chandrayaan-3 site. The solar panels are oriented almost vertically and should be generating power and charging the batteries, as the rest of the spacecraft warms up.
Also, Chandrayaan-3 was not designed to survive the lunar night; it does not have an energy source for nighttime heating like other long-duration missions.
