Screw big corp, I suggest more and more people switch to peertube, especially as importing your youtube content is free on both sides of the divide, so I recommend people make their backups with one such instance as soon as possible, before it all becomes payware and such. So yeah, I recommend y'all do it, while you still can...you're not entrenched completely yet
@evilcookies98 do you have a vps or another form of self hosting with plenty storage? if so, you can use the mother of all self hosting(mash) playbook to setup peertube, along other nice services, for you. Hell, it even takes care of ssl certificates on its own, it's pretty much a self-contained deployment. Then, you can put a link to that in your bio and a pinned post, so that your followers on here also follow your peertube.
@evilcookies98 depends, how much are you willing to spend? however, you can still try tilvids, you don't need to import all your youtube stuff at once, you import afew things, then make the new things available only on peertube, or something like that
@evilcookies98 I don't like how youtube thinks everything is coppywrite. what if I just want to stream all the game stuff including music. like its part of the game world.
@evilcookies98 if they keep doing that they're not gonna have anyone left. the thing I don't like is when people who do let's plays mute the game just because of that. that's mostly on youtubes end. if they just relax a bit then people would have more fun.
@SwordArtStreamer right? I’ve heard that suggested to me several times, why don’t you just mute the game? Well, geniuses, I don’t just mute the game, because if I mute the game, I may as well not be playing it.

@SwordArtStreamer I don’t know. I’ve been flagged three times in less than a year for streaming children without adult supervision when I’m the only one around and half the time not even visible because my camera skills utterly suck.
@SwordArtStreamer right? The first time I was playing mine racer. The second time I was installing iTunes. The third time I hadn’t even got past the recap stage of VK3 and NVDA was talking.
@SwordArtStreamer it’s a little clunky, but it’s doable. Unfortunately, appealing a ban you don’t even deserve because the platform randomly thinks you’re under age is not doable, so I’m losing my account in 15 days because they won’t help me.
@SwordArtStreamer they said if I can’t appeal in app that I’m basically screwed, and I told them to switch on voiceover on their iPhones and then try to do it themselves and tell me what’s going to happen. I tried explaining it in words, but clearly they don’t get the hint, so they need to go through it themselves.
@SwordArtStreamer I can’t get one. My stupid phone always routes audio through the earpiece when I try to do screen recordings and I can’t hear to do anything. If I get my face too close to the proximity sensor, the screen won’t work, so I would essentially be wasting my time.
@SwordArtStreamer it’s extremely irritating. If there was a way I could hear I would get the screen recording in five seconds and plasterer everywhere because they are not getting away with deliberately making this impossible.
@SwordArtStreamer just Hearthstone right now, because my system is so old. It even has trouble with that sometimes. The fan goes into jet engine mode. I want to get into Mortal Kombat and such but I just don’t have the machine to do it. I don’t know if this counts, but I also still play trivia crack and BitLife
@evilcookies98@SwordArtStreamer Honestly, because of the cost of Graphics cards and that's really what these games hunger for, not the CPU so much, you're better off just spending the $300 and getting a Xbox series S like I did. Of course that's still $300 which might as well be the $1000 Plus you'll pay for a video card they'll like if you don't have it, but it's still only that $300. It's all about scale in this instance.
