    @ElleGray @neilhimself This is extra funny to me, because it's basically the story of how my family got every single cat who arrived after I was born.

    (No broken ceilings involved, although once the cats did manage to get into the walls and ceiling of the house and had to be coaxed back out.)

    Reminds me of how my paternal grandparents wound up with cats…

    A pregnant cat wandered in off the street and gave birth to a litter of kittens. They found homes for all but one… so "Mum cat" and "Minstrel" (her son) lived together there right up until their respective passing (about 18 years).
