@kaia that's exactly the reason why AD(H)D meds are only given to actual patients: they rather forget to take them, other people don't and might get addicted.

also at least with methylphenidate there’s not even a tolerance effect; it’s very common for people to lower their dosage over time. and sometimes they stop needing stims altogehter

the dosage i started with, which was the amount i needed in order to get going every day, now tends to be too high unless i’m so stressed and overloaded i’m about to have a breakdown
