My gruff, but lovable, biker neighbor just pounded on my door, handed me a massive bowl of homemade cioppino with the biggest prawns I’ve ever seen, muttered “merry Christmas” with a lit cigarette dangling from his lip and dashed off like an elf in leather chaps to wassail some other neighbors.
