I didn't get laid off today, but, in reality, I feel worse than I did when I was laid in 2018 (from the same company). They laid off some of my best coworkers I've ever had/best people I've ever known. All people that were hired before the "basically free money" interest rate driven hiring frenzy of the last few years, many of them pre-dated me (I started at the company over a decade ago). Scared for what the future holds for the company I work for with these key individuals gone.
