@gruber can’t recall if you posted about it, but in hingham MA, a man drove his car into the Apple Store. They started adding bollards and other barriers in front of their stores after that, I believe.
@gruber it‘s a problem of an aging society, see https://www.dekra-roadsafety.com/en/need-for-optimization-in-a-variety-of-areas/ in Hamburg, Germany there is a street famous for several accidents caused by elderly drivers smashing into stores; at least in one case even a large concrete block designed for anti-terrorism couldn’t stop of the SUV. Sounds funny, but it isn’t.

@gruber Bollards are literally everywhere in Europe. Insane how common they are, and they even have city-wide networked bollards that can be recessed for access.
