I reviewed my health insurance a few days ago. I've cancelled Extras because they are overpriced but the upshot is that my premiums are dropping from $170 a fortnight (NIB HospSilver500+Extras) to $99 a fortnight (HCF HospSilver500).
That's a saving of over $1800 a YEAR. It's worth having, to me, as my partner is a heart patient with a complex history.
