You believe that Male Family Member could not ever commit rape. Therefore, no rape occurred, and all evidence of said rape must be refuted, rejected, &/or buried.
You accept the evidence, & believe that Male Family Member can & did commit rape. You must now act accordingly; and those actions may result in you getting divorced, losing your home, getting written out of wills, and/or being rejected by your friends, your church, & other social groups.
It is a very rare & brave person who takes option #2. So rare that I’ve never actually met one myself.
