For folks intending to purity-test their #vote this election cycle, all I can say is I hope you really want to live with the possibility of this country being run by fascist idiots driving pickup trucks festooned with Moron Labia and No Step on Derpy Snek bumper stickers. And once in power, they won't give it up no matter how anybody votes in the future.
The infinitely frustrating reality is that we're stuck with some moderate asshat being the best option until the actuarial tables finally catch up to the generation currently clutching the handles of power like it's the steering wheel they peer over when they drive. Future generations show vastly more promise, but only if we don't vote ourselves into a dictatorship first.
